Tennessee is located in the southeastern United States covering an area of 41,220 square miles. It is near the majority of the U.S. population and 47% of the U.S. population lives within 600 miles of Nashville, the capital of Tennessee. With more than 5.96 million people it is ranked the 16th largest state in the United States. Tennessee is a world class business center famous for its health care management, car industry, livestock, agriculture and country music etc. Many global companies such as FedEx, Nissan, Jack Daniels, Cummins Filtration, Gibson Guitar have a presence in Tennessee. Major Cities

Nashville:
Nashville is the state capital of Tennessee, with a population of approximately 1.6 million. It is the largest metropolitan area in the central South U.S., located on the Cumberland River in the north-central part of the state. The Nashville region is one of America's most dynamic centers for business growth. The diversity of corporate Nashville crosses all boundaries of international trade and all business sectors, including health care management, automobile parts and assembly, music and entertainment, publishing and a host of others.

Known throughout the world as "Music City," Nashville is considered the home of American country music and has established itself as a major music recording, songwriting and production center for music of all genres, including gospel, pop, and rock. Indeed, the Nashville area is a diverse and dynamic business center, with health care management its leading industry sector and strong concentrations also found in publishing, logistics, automotive parts and assembly, insurance and distribution.

Transportation links the U.S. and the world to Nashville. Unique advantages include three major interstate highways, a rail system connecting 20 states and a port connecting to the Mississippi River. Human and natural resources rank among Nashville's best assets, with 18 colleges and universities enrolling 90,000 students, rich agricultural land, a variety of mineral resources and a comfortable climate.

Memphis:
The famous port city Memphis is located in the left bank of Mississippi River, with a population of 770,000. City of Memphis has the world's busiest cargo airport and in the U.S. is: first in percentage of logistics workforce, third in Class I railroad service, third busiest trucking corridor, fourth largest inland port, the central hub for Federal Express and a major hub for Northwest Airlines.

Oak Ridge/Knoxville:
Oak Ridge/Knoxville area is home to more than 1,000 high-tech companies, 45,000 high-tech professionals, 3,500 PhDs and more than 15,000 college students majoring in information technology, science, math or engineering.
